Back in late Novem\u00adber 2011 when I released A Real Piece of Work<\/em>, I promised to release book #2 in the series, The Rich Are Dif\u00adfer\u00adent<\/em>, once book #1 sold 1,000 copies.<\/p>\n

When I wrote that, I was con\u00advinced it would take me at least 10 months to sell that many copies (an aver\u00adage of 100\/month). There\u00adfore, I would have plen\u00adty of time to give The Rich Are Dif\u00adfer\u00adent<\/em> anoth\u00ader pol\u00adish and to for\u00admat it and pub\u00adlish it on the Kin\u00addle plat\u00adform.<\/p>\n

As most of you know, over this past week\u00adend I had a pro\u00admo\u00adtion and sales bonan\u00adza, sell\u00ading over 1,000 copies of A Real Piece of Work<\/em> in three days alone. While I\u2019m tremen\u00addous\u00adly grate\u00adful for the over\u00adwhelm\u00ading response, it does alter my planned timetable con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00adably.<\/p>\n

And so I\u2019m here, dear reader\u2014dear fan of Dako\u00adta & Svetlana\u2014to ask for your patience.<\/p>\n

I want The Rich Are Dif\u00adfer\u00adent<\/em> to be every bit as good as A Real Piece of Work<\/em>, and in order to ensure this, I need time\u2014time to read it again (it\u2019s lain in a draw\u00ader for 2 years), time to revise it, and time to get it into the com\u00adpli\u00adcat\u00aded Kin\u00addle for\u00admat<\/a> for pub\u00adli\u00adca\u00adtion. I also need time for my tal\u00adent\u00aded cov\u00ader design\u00ader, Elis\u00ada\u00adbeth Pinio, to cre\u00adate the new cov\u00ader.<\/p>\n

Ulti\u00admate\u00adly I want every read\u00ader to have as enjoy\u00adable an expe\u00adri\u00adence with book #2 as s\/he did with book #1, and I want every read\u00ader to feel that The Rich Are Dif\u00adfer\u00adent<\/em> stands up\u2014in enter\u00adtain\u00adment val\u00adue and lit\u00ader\u00adary qual\u00adi\u00adty. Get\u00adting the nov\u00adel to a lev\u00adel of qual\u00adi\u00adty where I\u2019m thor\u00adough\u00adly sat\u00adis\u00adfied with it will take me any\u00adwhere from a few months (for sum\u00admer release) to sev\u00ader\u00adal months (for hol\u00adi\u00adday sea\u00adson release). The best answer I can give is that it will take as long as it takes.<\/p>\n

As I get fur\u00adther into the process of prepar\u00ading The Rich Are Dif\u00adfer\u00adent<\/em> for pub\u00adli\u00adca\u00adtion, I\u2019ll post updates on where I am.<\/p>\n

When the cov\u00ader design is com\u00adplete, Elis\u00ada\u00adbeth and I will release that in advance as well.<\/p>\n
