IndieRead\u00ader, the pop\u00adu\u00adlar and infor\u00adma\u00adtive web-zine about self-pub\u00adlished books, reviewed A Real Piece of Work<\/em> back in Feb\u00adru\u00adary and gave the nov\u00adel 5 stars.<\/p>\n

So when I pub\u00adlished The Rich Are Dif\u00adfer\u00adent<\/em> over the sum\u00admer, I sub\u00admit\u00adted the nov\u00adel to them for a pos\u00adsi\u00adble review. They were swamped at the time, but I fol\u00adlowed up with them last week, and today, less than a week lat\u00ader, they pub\u00adlished a review of the sec\u00adond book.<\/p>\n

The review\u00ader of both books, Maya Fleis\u00adchmann, cre\u00adates some nice turns of phrase in her reviews. She writes, \u201cAction, lust, dan\u00adger, style and wit\u00adty repar\u00adtee, Orcutt\u2019s A Real Piece of Work<\/em> is a work of art.\u201d And of The Rich Are Dif\u00adfer\u00adent<\/em> she writes, \u201cDako\u00adta Stevens is thor\u00adough\u00adly like\u00adable and appeal\u00ading with his rich mix of chival\u00adry and clever mis\u00adchief.\u201d There are sev\u00ader\u00adal oth\u00ader exam\u00adples, but I\u2019ll let you read them for your\u00adself.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Besides pro\u00admot\u00ading the reviews, there is no larg\u00ader point of this blog entry, except per\u00adhaps to acknowl\u00adedge that like all writ\u00aders, I want my work to be liked and accept\u00aded. Cer\u00adtain\u00adly reviews from reg\u00adu\u00adlar read\u00aders mean just as much to me as IndieRead\u00ader\u2019s, but there is some\u00adthing espe\u00adcial\u00adly nice about hav\u00ading a pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adal stamp of approval. They even sent me a \u201cstick\u00ader,\u201d shown here.<\/p>\n

Thank you for putting up with this ram\u00adbling, gloat\u00ading entry. Some\u00adtimes, though, you have to stop and savor the small suc\u00adcess\u00ades, and this is one of them.<\/p>\n
