I was intro\u00adduced by friend and fel\u00adlow author Dave King.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"506\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hiXUIIbFmV4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since last mon\u00adth\u2019s read\u00ading, I\u2019ve con\u00adtin\u00adued to rehearse, pol\u00adish\u00ading my deliv\u00adery and the voic\u00ades of the var\u00adi\u00adous char\u00adac\u00adters. The sec\u00adtion I read is only about 2,000 words (or 15 min\u00adutes) long, but con\u00adtained in it are 9 char\u00adac\u00adters, and I\u2019m try\u00ading to make each of them dis\u00adtinct.<\/p>\n<p>The pres\u00adsure is on for me because the nov\u00adel is about a fic\u00adtion\u00adal com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty very much like Mill\u00adbrook (Welling\u00adton, NY), and this is my home\u00adtown.<\/p>\n<p>I spent my sum\u00admers here as a boy, grad\u00adu\u00adat\u00aded from high school here, was a news\u00adpa\u00adper reporter here after col\u00adlege, and set\u00adtled down here again about 8 years ago. I\u2019m a fix\u00adture at the din\u00ader, the post office, the library, and the Chi\u00adnese restau\u00adrant.
