The Next Dakota Stevens Mystery is Done

TSTF_ItsDone_113014

If you only knew what a hellish year this has been, and what a *miracle* it is that I finished this novel.

IT’S DONE.

After 90,000 words, 6 drafts, endless polishing, and countless tweaks, spell-checks and fact-checks, the next Dakota Stevens mystery, A Truth Stranger Than Fiction, is finished.

The novel will be available for pre-order by December 22, and will be released on January 1 or 2.

The reason for the January release is so I can get a full year (2015) with the book as a new release—for marketing and publicity purposes. This was the publicity company’s advice, and I am going to follow it.

Besides, as one reader (a self-described fangirl) pointed out to me, it’s good that it won’t be available during Christmas because you probably wouldn’t get anything done until you finished it.

Maybe I’m prejudiced, but I think this might be the best Dakota novel of the three. But I’ll let you be the judge. In January.

This will be my last update about the book until it’s up for pre-order on Amazon. At that time, I’ll have a blurb about the book. There might even be a book trailer.

Thank you for your loyal support and encouragement.

Sincerely,

Chris

Since 2015, Chris been working exclusively on his magnum opus. Bodaciously True & Totally Awesome: The Legendary Adventures of Avery “Ace” Craig is a 9-episode novel about teens in the 1980s. It’s about ’80s teens, but for adults (in other words, it’s decidedly not YA literature), and he’s applied this epic storytelling approach to the least examined, most misunderstood, most marginalized narrative space in American literature: the lives and inner worlds of teenagers.
