I can officially say that this past Saturday’s Millbrook Literary Festival was an unmitigated success.
I was concerned about my reading, but it went fine, as did the Q&A afterwards. I also sold quite a few books. Here is a video of the event:
And now, a few photos taken by Alexas during my reading and the signing in the book tent:

Great job on the presentation Chris. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, and you really did nail all those different voices.
I loved the last question of the day, where an attendee asked you about the sex in the 100 Miles from Manhattan, as compared to your earlier work. Your answer was great, but your reaction to the moderator’s comment was priceless.
Thanks for the compliments, Stephen. It was a tough room because there was a lot of ambient noise, so the audience, Alexas tells me, had to focus intently to follow my reading. I had the chance originally to do the reading in a smaller room, away from the main hall/gallery, but I wanted to be out in the open. Anyway, several listeners came up to me afterward saying they really enjoyed it, so I think it was a success. I’m considering it practice for larger audiences. See you on Facebook! —Chris
Thank you, Bick. I don’t know the exact numbers yet, but all morning and afternoon, there was someone at my stall. :) —Chris
Great reading, Chris. Hope you had many books fly off the table.
